Design
- Obverse
- A radiant Phra Maha Mongkut (the Great Crown) flanked by a pair of royal umbrellas (chat), set against a ground of branch-like scrollwork that is less finely executed than that of the 1858 (B.E. 2401) tribute medal. Stars around the rim indicate the denomination, each star representing a value of 1 fueang.
- Reverse
- A standing elephant facing left, positioned in the center of the Phra Saeng Chakra (the royal discus). Stars along the rim equal in number to those on the obverse.
